Folk

I chose folk music for my computer project. Our class had to tell us about there genre and where it originated, what instruments are used, and the well known artists today. It had to be between one t three minutes long and we could have between four to seven songs. I choose songs by Chris O'Brien, Matt Nathanson, Brett Dennen, and Joshua James. These are some of the popular artists from the folk genre. I really like these artists so I put them in there. I think this was a fun project and it would be fun to do again.

Easter

Over Easter break I stayed in Peoria. That stunk but it was still pretty good. I had softball everyday and then every night i would hang out with my friends. We had bonfires and Austin had a little party and that was fun. It was nice to sleep in everyday. We stayed up really late and got to sleep in late too. On Easter I had dinner with my family and it was really good and nice to see them all. It was a really good break even though I did not get to go anywhere, I still had a lot of fun.

You

This quote is about you being yourself in no one else. i like it because it says that no matter what you can't be someone else, so it's better to be your own person. There are a lot of people who say you have to look and act a certain way, like others do, but you don't. You create who you are and you are a unique person. Don't follow what other people are doing, just what you like. No one can go and boss you around and tell you to do this and that. You should be your own person.

Lent

For lent i gave up not eating between meals. It's going really good. I have not broken it for a while. The only time I eat between meals is if it is healthy and before practice. It has been awhile since I have broken it and if I break it I will still do it on Sunday. It has boughten me closer to God. I think i could be a little closer though. This has been hard but it has also been worth it. It is fun to do something challenging. This isn’t that bad. Next year i might do this again.

Future Career

I am not completely sure what i want to be when i grow up. I was thinking about photography because i really love to take pictures. I think that might get a little boring thought. I want a really adventurous job. A doctor would be a good job but i think that would also get boring at times. I just want something very interesting and something that never gets boring and is also very adventurous. If i was to be a photographer i would need some training in the arts. If i was to be a doctor i would need a lot of schooling, but it would be worth it. I'm not sure what career i will enter, I'll just have to see what else there is.

Service Project

The service project i will be working is a summer care at St.Mark's school. I work there in the summer for two days a week for four hours each time. I help kids, from 4th grade and down, with academics they need to work on. i also watch them with the other volunteers that work there. We usually take a field trip every wednesday. We go some place fun for the kids. They have school work in the morning and then they swim and eat lunch in the afternoon. Last summer i got 85 hours from  this project. I think by helping the kids with there schoolwork I'm making a difference even if it's just a little one.
